Now that she has made it into the space, she’s hoping to inspire other women to do the same.
“I’m not just doing this for me,” she emphasized. “I’m doing it for everyone who looks like me. And know that you can be anyone you want to be in this world. People are going to tell you ‘no.’ You’re going to get a thousand ‘no’s but that one ‘yes’ is going to get you in the door and let you be whoever you want to be.”
Naturally, Angel is also doing it for her own angel, mom Angel Webb Reese.
“The confidence of walking out there in a bra and panties is probably something she wouldn’t want to do,” Angel joked, “but she’s seeing her daughter do that tonight. Being able to see this tonight and seeing her daughter all glammed up, she’s probably going to cry.”
