Strictly Come Dancing is about to waltz through a major shakeup.
Following the ongoing 23rd season of the BBC dancing competition—which served as the inspiration for Dancing With the Stars—longtime cohosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will step down from their roles, they announced on social media.
“We have loved working as a duo and hosting Strictly has been an absolute dream,” Tess wrote in a joint post with Claudia shared on Instagram Oct. 23. “We were always going to leave together and now feels like the right time.”
Tess, 56, went on to thank “the most brilliant team” behind the scenes of the series—which launched in 2004—before assuring fans that her bond with Claudia, 53, would live on offscreen.
“We will cry when we say the last ‘keep dancing’ but we will continue to say it to each other,” Tess continued. “Just possibly in tracksuit bottoms at home while holding some pizza.”
