SKY YORK JOURNAL News – A Colorado jury has delivered a verdict in the case of James Craig, finding him guilty of first-degree murder in the death of his wife, Angela Craig.

A Guilty Verdict

After two days of deliberation, the jury convicted James Craig of first-degree murder. According to reports from NBC News, the former dentist was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the 2023 fatal poisoning of Angela Craig. She died after consuming protein shakes laced with a combination of chemicals, including medication found in eye drops.

Additional Charges and Acquittal

Beyond the murder conviction, SKY YORK JOURNAL has learned that Craig was also found guilty on several other charges. These included solicitation to commit first-degree murder, which stemmed from his attempts to hire a fellow inmate to kill a detective who investigated Angela’s death. The 47-year-old, who shared six children with his late wife, was acquitted on one of the seven charges he faced: manslaughter.

Details Surrounding Angela Craig’s Death

Angela Craig was hospitalized on March 15, 2023, after complaining of a “severe headache” and dizziness, as reported by NBC News based on an arrest warrant at the time. She had been admitted to the hospital twice in the three weeks leading up to her final hospitalization. Three days after being admitted, Angela died after suffering a severe seizure.
