At a Las Vegas rally, Jennifer Lopez gave a fervent endorsement of Kamala Harris, taking a moment to denounce Donald Trump for his Madison Square Garden event, where speakers reportedly made racially charged comments.
Lopez expressed, “Trump has continually aimed to divide us,” and remarked that at Madison Square Garden, he “showed his true colors,” offending not only Puerto Ricans but also Latinos and anyone with a sense of decency.
Lopez proudly emphasized her Puerto Rican heritage, affirming, “I am Puerto Rican, born here, and we are Americans.” She also expressed optimism, saying, “I believe in Hollywood endings, where the good girl wins.” Her support for Harris didn’t stop there; she has been using her platform to champion the influence of women and Latinos in the election. Lopez denounced Trump’s divisive tactics, while also supporting Harris by resharing campaign material that criticized Trump’s perceived indifference toward Puerto Rico’s struggles.
Further advocating for voter participation, Lopez urged her fans to register to vote, working alongside When We All Vote, a nonpartisan initiative she co-chairs.
This effort includes promoting voter registration through various initiatives, including a humorous song performed recently to remind people of the importance of their vote. Alongside fellow artists like Beyoncé, Lopez emphasized the significance of supporting Harris, encouraging people to get involved in the democratic process.
