“I think that maximizing that frequent, continuing and meaningful contact should be our guiding light through all of these conversations and planning of parenting time,” he wrote. “Juno needs both of us. Ideally exactly equally.”

He also requested that Jodie talk to him about travel arrangements involving Juno before discussing it with their daughter to “save her confusion or disappointment.”

And while Jodie and Joshua have had their difficulties, as the Mighty Ducks alum noted, they share the goal of providing the best for their daughter. 

“It’s my job,” he said during an April episode of Jesse Tyler Ferguson‘s Dinner’s on Me podcast, “shared with my ex-wife, to do everything that we can to nurture you, cultivate you and give you all the tools that you need in life.”

He continued, “If I ever did anything to estrange my daughter from myself, I would be in duress. I actually can’t conceive of it because I don’t even wanna think of the pain that that would be.”
