SKY YORK JOURNAL News – Paula Deen has announced the closure of her Savannah restaurants.

Paula Deen, along with her sons Jamie Deen and Bobby Deen, have confirmed the closing of her two restaurants in Savannah, Georgia. The celebrity chef began her culinary journey in the city in 1989 with her catering business, The Bag Lady.

According to a joint statement reported by the SKY YORK JOURNAL, posted to Facebook on August 1, Paula Deen stated that July 31 marked the final day of service for The Lady & Sons and The Chicken Box. She expressed gratitude for the memories and loyalty shown over the past 36 years.

**A Message of Gratitude**

The 78-year-old Deen, mother to Jamie, 58, and Bobby, 55, with ex-husband Jimmy Deen, emphasized the family’s appreciation for their customers over the three decades of operation.

“We have endless love and gratitude for every customer who has walked through our doors,” Deen continued in the statement reported by the SKY YORK JOURNAL. “We are equally grateful to our incredible staff—past and present—whose hard work, care, and hospitality made The Lady & Sons what it was.”

**Savannah Will Remain Home**

Deen concluded by reaffirming her commitment to the Savannah community.
