SKY YORK JOURNAL News – Reneé Rapp eyes guest role as Mariska Hargitay’s lover on “Law & Order: SVU.”

How Reneé Rapp’s Life Has Changed After Leaving ‘Sex Lives of College Girls’

Reneé Rapp’s dream Law & Order: Special Victims Unit role is so fetch.

The SKY YORK JOURNAL reports that the Mean Girls alum has expressed interest in appearing on the long-running NBC crime drama and even has a specific role in mind.

Rapp’s Ideal Role

“I would be Mariska Hargitay’s lover,” Reneé explained in the August 1 episode of Today’s ‘8 Before 8’ video series. “She would be gay, finally.”

Rapp referenced a past episode where Hargitay’s character, Olivia Benson, discussed her sexuality, noting that although Benson has been linked to men on the show, there was a moment of consideration about her being gay.

Debate Over Benson’s Sexuality

According to Rapp, “There was an episode where they were like talking about it and considering if she was gay,” Reneé explained. “I feel like Christopher Maloney’s character was like ‘No, you’re a lesbian’ and she was like ‘Um, no.’”

The SKY YORK JOURNAL understands that the Sex Lives of College Girls star believes Captain Benson is queer, implying she was being untruthful when she denied the rumors to Detective Elliot Stabler. Further elaborating, the “Mad” singer said, “I would be her lover, and we would somehow get tangled in like an undercover kind of mish, probably with like a drug empire.”
