The Trump Organization, the business empire of President Donald Trump, has officially entered the mobile technology sector with the launch of a new cellular service called Trump Mobile and an accompanying smartphone, the T1 Phone.

The announcement, made on the 10th anniversary of Trump’s first presidential campaign, marks the latest expansion of the Trump brand into the tech and communications industry.

Introducing Trump Mobile and “The 47 Plan”

Trump Mobile will offer 5G mobile service through a flagship package known as “The 47 Plan, priced at $47.45 per month—a symbolic reference to Donald Trump’s status as the 47th president of the United States.

According to the company’s website, the plan includes:

  • Unlimited talk, text, and data
  • Free international calling to over 100 countries
  • No contracts or credit checks
  • 24/7 roadside assistance (via Drive America)
  • Telehealth services (virtual medical care, mental health support, and prescription delivery)
  • Free long-distance calling for military members and their families

The mobile service will operate on the infrastructure of three major U.S. carriers, widely presumed to be Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile, though those companies have yet to confirm.

Trump’s $499 Smartphone: The T1 Phone

In addition to the mobile plan, Trump Mobile is also launching its own branded Android device, the T1 Phone, available for $499 (with a $100 down payment). Features of the phone include:

  • 256GB of internal storage
  • 12GB RAM
  • Android 15 operating system
  • AI facial recognition
  • In-display fingerprint sensor
  • USB-C port
  • 3.5mm headphone jack

The official release date for the T1 Phone has not yet been announced, but pre-orders are open on the Trump Mobile website.

Made in the USA, Says Eric Trump

Speaking on Fox Business’ Mornings with Maria, Eric Trump, executive vice president of the Trump Organization, emphasized the company’s commitment to domestic operations.

“You’re not calling up call centers in Bangladesh. Do it right out of St. Louis, Missouri, and you’re going to have phones that are made right here in the United States of America,” he said.

Eric Trump touted the move as part of the Trump Organization’s broader expansion into technology, alongside ventures like the Truth Social social media platform and World Liberty Financial, a cryptocurrency initiative.

“I really believe we’re going to have one of the great tech platforms as part of the Trump Organization of any company in the world,” he added.

Broader Implications

The entry into the telecom space reflects a strategic effort to diversify the Trump brand and align it more closely with its political base. With services tailored toward patriotic messaging and domestic production, Trump Mobile appeals to consumers who value nationalist branding and conservative-aligned services.

As the 2024 presidential election cycle continues to shape public discourse and consumer habits, Trump’s business ventures appear to be leveraging political capital into new commercial territories—this time, in the form of cell towers and smartphones.
