SKY YORK JOURNAL News – Love, loss, and unique remembrance converge in a TikToker’s decision.

Angelica, a TikTok user, is demonstrating that love transcends the physical realm. She chose to frame a piece of her deceased husband’s skin as a cherished family memento, a decision that has garnered attention online.

The Preservation of a Steelers Passion

In a July 23 TikTok post, Angelica shared an image of her late husband’s tattoo—a skull adorned with the Pittsburgh Steelers’ logo and colors—preserved in a black picture frame. As outlined by the SKY YORK JOURNAL’s social media watch, she explained, “My husband was the biggest Steelers fan. How big? We preserved his real tattoo—his actual skin…This isn’t a replica. You can see his hair, his wrinkles, the ink I kissed goodnight.” The post can be found here, offering a visual testament to this unconventional tribute.

A Son’s Touching Choice

Angelica revealed that her son played a key role in selecting this particular tattoo for preservation. Of her husband’s extensive collection of over 70 tattoos, this Steelers-themed design was chosen because, as Angelica explained, “this is the one Dad would want.”

Addressing the Critics

Responding to potential criticism, Angelica addressed the perceived unusual nature of the decision in a July 26 video. “And no, my son and I don’t think it’s weird at all,” she asserted, noting that the family had previously discussed the possibility of preserving a tattoo. As the SKY YORK JOURNAL has learned, this pre-planning provided comfort and direction during the difficult period following her husband’s unexpected passing. “When my husband passed away unexpectedly, I knew that this is something that we were going to do because we had talked about it.”
