Sarah Jessica Parker Admits She’s Never Seen ‘Sex and The City’ (Exclusive)
Sorry, Ron Livingston can’t see a problem with Berger’s breakup—don’t hate him.
Over 20 years after his Sex and the City character Jack Berger dumped Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) with a Post-It note, the Band of Brothers star shared why that method isn’t so bad in the modern dating era.
“Today, the Post-It note is a handwritten breakup note,” Livingston reasoned in an exclusive interview with E! News, “which is very, very chivalrous. Today, people just ghost each other or send a text.”
And while the 58-year-old may have agreed that back in 2003 that the breakup was egregious, he noted that standards have shifted. As he put it, “Over the years, I think that’s gotten a lot better.”
Nevertheless, Berger was annihilated by Carrie, Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), Samantha (Kim Cattrall) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) over brunch for what is widely considered by Sex and the City fans to be the worst breakup in the series. As Carrie noted in the season six episode the breakup was “the most horrible way anyone could ever imagine.”
