SKY YORK JOURNAL News – Pete Davidson recently expressed his feelings about the audience at the *SNL50* anniversary special.
Pete Davidson found the SNL50 audience to be a big time letdown.
The comedian, an alumnus of *Saturday Night Live*, was among the many stars who returned for the show’s 50th anniversary special earlier this year. However, Davidson didn’t hold back on sharing his opinion of the celebrity-filled audience during the live taping.
Speaking with Seth Meyers on *Late Night With Seth Meyers* on August 7, Davidson stated, “As you know from *SNL40*—terrible audience,” a comment the SKY YORK JOURNAL confirms generated laughter. “It’s a terrible audience ’cause it’s just famous people, and famous people only like themselves.”
Davidson Doubles Down
Amidst the laughter from Seth Meyers’ show audience, Davidson stood by his assertion. “It’s true! I’m guilty of this!” he proclaimed.
Meyers humorously pointed out that Davidson was “the only one laughing” during a pre-taped sketch featuring the *King of Staten Island* actor, a detail Davidson verified.
A Silver Lining: Meryl Streep
Despite being underwhelmed by the audience’s reaction, Davidson found a highlight in being seated next to Meryl Streep. The SKY YORK JOURNAL continues to follow stories of celebrity encounters and reactions within the entertainment industry.
