Case in point, that now-iconic 2023 Fourth of July group photo featuring Selena and some other then-single pals—captioned “Happy belated Independence Day from your local neighborhood independent girlies”—that Taylor posted just before the Kansas City concert that kick-started her romance with Travis Kelce.
And more than two years later, Taylor cannot believe how quickly their fate changed afterwards.
“I’m in this picture with a bunch of girls. A lot—not just me and Selena—a few of the other girls found their person right after that,” the Grammy winner, who got engaged to Travis in August, explained. “Then I the next day go and play in Kansas City—not knowing that Travis was gonna come to the show.”
“It’s unreal,” she continued. “So, I’m just thinking about how grateful I am that he exists. And also how happy I am for my friends when they find happiness.”
