There’s a new club for the cool kids.
After all, TikTok users have been boasting about being a part of the mysterious “group 7” in videos and comment sections on the app. So, what exactly is the highly coveted group and how do you get initiated?
Meet the group’s founder: Sophia James. The singer shared multiple TikTok videos on Oct. 17, in which she delegated viewers to different groups depending on which post reached their For You page.
“If you are watching this video, you are in group 7,” she announced. “I have posted seven videos tonight and this is the seventh one. Just a little science experiment to see what kind of video gets the most reach.”
She added, “I don’t know what that says about you, but you’re in group 7. Welcome!”
While Sophia’s first six videos garnered between 600,000 and 1 million views, respectively, her seventh post amassed over 16.5 million views. Among the members of the inside joke are influencers Haylee Baylee, Eli Rallo and Dr. Miami, all of whom rejoiced in the comment section.
