Jessie J is recovering from a recent health scare.
Just six weeks after sharing that she underwent surgery to treat her “early breast cancer,” the “Price Tag” singer shared that she was back in the hospital.
“How I spent the last 24 hours,” Jessie wrote on her Instagram Stories August 2 alongside a photo of an IV in her arm. “6 weeks post surgery and I was back in the same ward I was after my surgery. Not expected or planned.”
**Hospital Visit Details**
According to her social media posts, the unplanned hospital visit occurred only six weeks after her surgery for early breast cancer. The singer shared a photo of an IV in her arm on her Instagram stories on August 2nd.
“I had and still have symptoms that pointed towards a blood clot on the lung,” she continued. “IT IS NOT A BLOOD CLOT THANK GOD.”
**Ruling Out Serious Concerns**
Jessie J clarified that, while her symptoms initially raised concerns about a potential blood clot on the lung, tests ruled out this possibility. This news brings relief to the singer and her fans, SKY YORK JOURNAL reports.
Adding that the doctors were able to identify some kind of infection, the “Bang Bang” singer decided to continue her recovery from the comfort of her own bed.
**Ongoing Recovery**
The medical team identified that she had an infection, the specific type of which is still under investigation. Despite experiencing difficulty breathing, she opted to be discharged and will continue her recovery and further testing as an outpatient.
“They ran a lot of tests which ended up showing I have an infection (still trying to figure out what) and a little fluid on my lungs,” she explained. “Finding it hard to breathe in, but I discharged myself last night (I hate being in hospital) and will continue the investigation as an outpatient.”
