Sarah Ferguson is making a royal shift.
Four days after her ex-husband Prince Andrew announced he would no longer use his royal titles such as Duke of York, she updated her social media to remove references to her Duchess of York title.
The 66-year-old, popularly known as Fergie, formerly used the X (formerly Twitter) handle @SarahTheDuchess, though it now reads @sarahMFergie15.
On Instagram, her handle @SarahFerguson15 remains unchanged, while her bio on both platforms makes no reference to her former title.
Though Sarah and Prince Andrew finalized their divorce in 1996, the former Duchess had retained the royal title—given to her by Queen Elizabeth II upon her 1986 wedding—in some areas of her public life. However, she will now solely be referred to as Sarah Ferguson.
Meanwhile, her and Andrew’s daughters Princess Beatrice, 37, and Princess Eugenie, 35, will retain their official titles, which are both “Her Royal Highness Princess.”
